Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare a 12 - 15 cup non-stick bundt pan with cooking spray and dust with flour and cocoa powder.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, hot water, and cocoa powder.
- Combine the flour mixture with the butter mixture using an electric mixer until well blended.
- Add sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 - 50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 8 - 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool for at least 30 minutes.
- For the ganache, place chocolate in a bowl, heat heavy cream until simmering, and pour over the chocolate.
- Let the mixture rest for 4 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the cooled cake and let it cool slightly before serving.
