Ingredients

The broth

  • Bones any kind, previously cooked Bones
  • Water enough to just cover bones Water
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 large Yellow Onion, cut in quarters or eighths
  • 5 cloves Garlic, smashed
  • 2 leaves Bay Leaves

Optional ingredients

  • 1-2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 pieces Carrots, cut in large pieces
  • 1 rib Celery, cut in large pieces
  • 2 inches Fresh Ginger, chopped

Instructions

  1. Put all of the ingredients into the inner liner of your Instant Pot.
  2. Add just enough water to cover the bones.
  3. Close the lid and set the steam release knob to the Sealing position.
  4. Press the Manual (or Pressure Cook) button and set the time to 180 minutes (3 hours).
  5. After cooking, let the Instant Pot naturally release pressure for at least 1 hour.
  6. Carefully remove the bones from the pot using a slotted spoon.
  7. Strain the contents and store the bone broth in mason jars or sealable containers.
