Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper

The sauce

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • cups heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 2-3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1-1½ cups Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

The pasta

  • 8 ounces spaghetti (or pasta of choice)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet, add shrimp, and let rest for 30 seconds before flipping. Season with Creole seasoning, salt, and pepper, cooking for 4-5 minutes until fully cooked. Set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat butter and sauté garlic, thyme, and Italian seasoning for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low and whisk in cream and milk, then add cream cheese until blended.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth, then season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  6. Turn off the heat and toss the sauce with the pasta and shrimp. Serve immediately.
