Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes into 1-inch cubes, rinse, and boil in salted water until tender.
- Drain and rinse the potatoes, then return them to the pot with butter and milk to mash until smooth, adding cheddar cheese.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare the filling by sautéing diced onion and minced garlic in olive oil until soft.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until fully browned, then stir in flour and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Pour in beef broth and simmer until thickened, then add Worcestershire sauce, herbs, and frozen vegetables.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a casserole dish and top with the cheesy mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then broil for a few minutes for extra browning if desired.
- Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
