Basil Pesto

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh basil leaves (packed)
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup pine nuts
  • 2 medium garlic cloves
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt

Instructions

  1. Add basil, parmesan, pine nuts, and garlic to a food processor and pulse until finely minced.
  2. Scrape down the processor, then slowly pour in the olive oil while blending until the mixture is nearly smooth.
  3. Season with salt to taste.
  4. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
