Basil Parsley Pesto

Ingredients

  • cups packed basil leaves
  • 1 cup packed parsley leaves
  • ¼ cup pine nuts
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Add basil, parsley, pine nuts, Parmesan, and garlic to a food processor and pulse until finely minced.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil.
  4. Scrape down the sides as needed and pulse until the pesto is smooth.
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
