Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown the chicken until golden, then set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté shallots, garlic, and thyme in butter until tender.
- Add figs and deglaze with wine, reducing it by half, then stir in the chicken broth.
- Nestle the chicken back into the pan, arranging figs around it, and shake the pan.
- Bake until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
