Caprese Pasta
Ingredients
The pasta

angel hair pasta
The toppings

fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into ½ inch pieces

ripe tomatoes, cored, seeded and chopped

garlic, finely minced

olive oil

fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped

kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste

teaspoons
Italian seasoning (or equal parts dried basil, parsley and oregano)
Instructions
- 1. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions, then drain.
- 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the garlic and Italian seasoning until fragrant.
- 3. Add the tomatoes to the skillet and sauté until heated through.
- 4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and remove from heat.
- 5. Add the mozzarella and basil, tossing to coat.
- 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve.
