Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef chuck or ribeye
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Stir-Fry Sauce
  • 1 cup dashi or chicken broth
  • 1 pound cauliflower rice
  • 2 scallions thinly sliced

Optional Garnishes

  • to taste toasted sesame seeds
  • to taste shichimi togarashi
  • to taste pickled red ginger

Instructions

  1. Cut the thinly sliced beef in half if the slices are too large.
  2. Trim and slice the onion thinly.
  3. Combine the All-Purpose Stir-Fry Sauce and dashi or chicken broth in a skillet and add the onion slices.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium-high heat.
  5. Lower the heat and cook the onions until mostly tender, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the beef and continue to simmer, stirring occasionally, until the beef is no longer pink, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  7. Serve the beef and onion mixture over cauliflower rice and add optional garnishes if desired.
