Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
- Whisk together the cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Beat the softened butter until creamy, then add sugar and beat until combined.
- Incorporate the egg whites, vanilla extract, and optional vanilla bean seeds, mixing until smooth.
- Add the sour cream and mix, then gradually add the dry ingredients and milk until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the liners, filling them 2/3 full, and bake for 19-22 minutes.
