German Peach Pie with Brown Butter & Walnuts

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400ºF and roll out the pie dough into a circle larger than the pie dish, then transfer it to the dish and trim the edges.
- Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it smells nutty and turns brown, then let it cool slightly.
- Whisk the browned butter with sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, and salt, whisking until smooth.
- Arrange the peach halves in the pie shell, pouring the custard mixture over them.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top and place the pie on a sheet pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes at 400ºF, then reduce the temperature to 325ºF and bake for an additional 35 to 45 minutes until the crust is brown and the peaches are bubbling.
