Spicy Red Lentil Spread

Instructions
- Cook the lentils in a saucepan with water until soft and liquid is absorbed, about 15 minutes.
- Mash the hot lentils with cornmeal until smooth, then mix in cumin and cayenne.
- Sauté onions in olive oil until soft, then add marinara sauce and sriracha, simmering briefly.
- Combine the onion mixture with the lentils, let cool, and then fold in herbs.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.
