Japanese-Style Pancakes

The pancake batter

buttermilk (to make up 1 cup with the egg)

Japanese mayonnaise

Instructions
- Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Create a well in the dry ingredients and pour the wet mixture in, then mix together.
- Add the mayonnaise and mix well until fully combined.
- Place a homemade pancake mold on a frying pan over low heat and pour half of the batter into it.
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 15 minutes.
- Once bubbles appear on the surface, carefully flip the pancake using an egg flipper and cook for another 15 minutes.
- Check if the pancake is done by inserting a skewer; it should come out clean.
- Remove the pancake from the mold and serve with your favorite toppings.
