Instructions
- 1. Combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl and mix well.
- 2. In another bowl, warm the milk and whisk it with the egg.
- 3. Melt the butter and add it to the egg mixture, whisking until combined.
- 4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
- 5. Heat a nonstick frying pan over medium heat and grease it with butter.
- 6. Drop three tablespoons of batter onto the pan, spreading it into a round shape.
- 7. Cook until golden on the bottom and bubbles appear, about 1 to 2 minutes, then flip and cook the other side.
- 8. Serve immediately with butter, syrup, and fresh fruit.
