Pan-Roasted Chicken with Bacon and Apples

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Season the chicken with salt on both sides.
- Sear the chicken skin side down in a hot skillet for 4-5 minutes until browned.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in the wine and add thyme, then transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 15 minutes.
- While the chicken roasts, cut the bacon into pieces and cook in a skillet until crisp.
- Remove the bacon and sauté shallots and apple in the bacon drippings until softened.
- Stir in half of the crispy bacon bits into the shallot and apple mixture.
- After 15 minutes, add the apple and bacon mixture to the chicken and roast for another 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Sprinkle the remaining bacon bits on top and serve immediately.
