Ingredients

  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ⅛-¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, covering slightly to prevent splattering.
  3. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.
  4. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
  5. Serve immediately or let cool and store for later use.
