Grilled Swordfish

Ingredients

The fish

  • 4 pieces swordfish steaks (4-6 ounces each)

The marinade

  • 1 small lemon (juiced)
  • 1 lemon zest
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

For grilling

  • 2 tablespoons butter

For garnish

  • to taste freshly cracked pepper
  • to taste parsley
  • to taste lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, soy sauce, and garlic.
  2. Pat the fish dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the marinade to a ziplock bag and add the swordfish steaks, marinating for at least 5 minutes or up to 8 hours.
  4. Heat the grill to medium-high and brush the grates with butter.
  5. Add the swordfish steaks to the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  6. Remove from the grill, brush with melted butter, and serve garnished with pepper and parsley.
