Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 each bell pepper, diced
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 15 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp chili powder
  • tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp honey
  • 12 oz whole wheat macaroni

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta according to the package directions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, then add the diced bell pepper and cook for another minute.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, onion powder, paprika, salt, chili powder, cinnamon, and honey, then simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and stir to combine.
  5. Taste and adjust the seasonings as necessary.
