One-Pot Bacon Broccoli Mac and Cheese

Instructions
- 1. Cook the chopped bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crisp, then drain on paper towels.
- 2. Discard the grease and wipe out the pot.
- 3. Mix salt, pepper, and flour in a small dish.
- 4. Melt the butter in the pot, then whisk in the flour mixture gradually until smooth.
- 5. Slowly whisk in the milk and then the water, scraping up any browned bits.
- 6. Increase heat to medium-high and stir until boiling, then reduce to medium-low.
- 7. Add the macaroni and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring regularly.
- 8. Microwave the broccoli for 2 minutes until bright green and firm.
- 9. Once pasta is cooked, reduce heat to low and stir in the cheese until melted.
- 10. Add the broccoli and bacon to the pot, stir to combine, and serve.
