Ingredients

The pork cutlets

  • 300 g pork fillet
  • 1 unit egg
  • 4 tbsp plain flour
  • 50 ml water
  • 1 tbsp Kewpie Japanese Mayonnaise
  • 2 cups Japanese Panko crumbs or any bread crumbs
  • as needed unit Deep-frying oil

For serving

  • as needed unit finely shredded cabbage
  • as needed unit sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cut the pork fillet into even-sized thick slices.
  2. Mix the egg, flour, water, and mayonnaise in a small bowl to make a batter.
  3. Coat each pork fillet slice in the batter, then place into the Panko crumbs.
  4. Ensure all fillets are well coated with the Panko crumbs.
  5. Heat the frying oil in a deep pan until it reaches around 180°C.
  6. Fry each pork fillet slice until crispy and golden brown on both sides.
  7. Serve the pork fillets with cabbage or vegetables of your choice.
