Instructions
- Divide the sweet red bean paste into 6 portions and shape each into a cylinder.
- Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl and create a well in the center.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and mix in the milk and water until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the well of the dry ingredients and combine without overmixing.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the batter for about 30 minutes.
- Heat the taiyaki pan and lightly grease it if necessary.
- Pour about 2 tablespoons of batter into the bottom of each mold.
- Place a roll of sweet red bean paste in the center and cover it with more batter.
- Press the pan and cook each side for 3-5 minutes over low heat.
- Carefully remove the taiyaki and repeat the process with the remaining batter and filling.
