Nutella Dessert Takoyaki

Ingredients

The batter

  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • ¼ cup caster sugar
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1 large egg
  • cups milk
  • 15 g melted butter

The filling

  • 15 tsp Nutella

Instructions

  1. Spoon 1 tsp of Nutella onto a tray lined with baking paper to make about 15 Nutella balls and freeze them.
  2. Sift the flour, sugar, and baking powder into a large bowl.
  3. Whisk the egg in a measuring jug, then add milk to make 1.5 cups of liquid and mix.
  4. Combine the liquid with the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Add melted butter and mix until fully combined.
  6. Heat a Takoyaki maker or profiterole maker on medium heat and lightly oil it.
  7. Pour the batter into each hole about 80% full.
  8. Once the outside is firm, add about 1 tsp of Nutella in the center of each.
  9. Use a skewer to flip them over and cook until evenly brown.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
