Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cup dutch-process cocoa
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon hazelnut extract
  • cup Nutella
  • cup milk

Instructions

  1. 1. Whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, and cocoa, then set aside.
  2. 2. In a stand mixer, beat the butter and sugars until smooth and creamy, then add the vanilla and hazelnut extract.
  3. 3. Mix in the Nutella until the batter is smooth.
  4. 4. Gradually add the flour mixture and milk, mixing well, then chill the dough for at least 15 minutes.
  5. 5. Preheat the oven to 325°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. 6. Roll the dough into balls and place them on the sheets, pressing them down slightly.
  7. 7. Bake for 10-11 minutes until soft but starting to set, then cool on the sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to a rack.
