Instant Pot Tri-Tip

beef tri tip roast
The seasoning

cooking oil (avocado oil recommended)
The broth
Instructions
- Pat the tri-tip dry with paper towels.
- Mix the salt, garlic powder, and pepper in a small bowl and rub the mixture into the meat.
- Select the sauté function on the Instant Pot and add the oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add the tri-tip and sauté for 2 minutes on each side.
- Cancel the sauté function and scrape any brown bits from the bottom of the pot.
- Pour in the beef broth and place the trivet inside.
- Return the tri-tip to the pot on top of the trivet and lock the lid.
- Cook on high pressure for 25 minutes, then use quick release.
- Carefully remove the tri-tip and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing or shredding.
