Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with pepper, salt, and garlic powder.
- Heat oil in a skillet and cook the chicken until browned, then transfer to a plate to keep warm.
- In the same pan, add more oil and cook the mushrooms, onion, and garlic until softened.
- Add Marsala wine and chicken broth, simmer until reduced.
- Whisk together broth, cornstarch, honey, Italian seasoning, and remaining seasonings, then stir into the pan to thicken.
- Return the chicken to the pan to reheat and coat with the sauce, then swirl in butter.
- Serve the chicken with sauce, garnished with chives if desired.
