Ingredients

  • 12 ounces frozen blueberries
  • cup fresh lemon juice
  • cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 30 leaves fresh sage
  • ¾ bottle gin
  • 1 bottle Prosecco

Instructions

  1. Combine frozen blueberries, lemon juice, water, and sugar in a pot and heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture simmers.
  2. Muddle the blueberries and add sage, simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let the mixture sit for several hours or overnight to infuse the sage flavor.
  4. Strain the mixture to extract the syrup, pressing down on the berries to release juice.
  5. Combine the blueberry sage syrup with gin and Prosecco in a punch bowl or beverage container.
  6. Garnish with fresh sage leaves and lemon slices.
