Ingredients

The dough

  • 3 tablespoons vegan butter
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 ½ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt

The filling

  • 4 tablespoons vegan butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

The frosting

  • 6 ounces vegan cream cheese or mascarpone
  • cup vegan butter
  • 3 cups confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining it with sugar and melted vegan butter in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add almond milk and let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Gradually fold in the flour and knead until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 50 minutes.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle and brush with melted vegan butter, then sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar filling.
  6. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 6 large or 12 small pieces.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven and bake the rolls for 30 minutes.
  9. Prepare the frosting by mixing vegan cream cheese, vegan butter, and confectioners sugar until smooth.
  10. Frost the rolls while they are still warm.
