Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large saucepan, combine butter, water, and cocoa powder, then bring to a boil and set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt, then create a well in the center.
- Add the cocoa mixture to the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth, then add sour cream and whisk again until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking sheet and spread evenly.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the icing, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, melted butter, and vanilla in a bowl.
- Add peanut butter and whisk to combine, microwaving for 30 seconds if too thick.
- Pour the icing over the warm cake and spread evenly, then allow to cool before slicing and serving.
