Ingredients

The smoothie

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp creamy almond butter or cashew butter
  • ¼ cup chilled coconut cream (optional for thickness)

Toppings and optional ingredients

  • to taste toasted crushed nuts/almonds
  • to taste optional sweetener (pitted dates, banana, sugar substitute, or honey)
  • to taste optional mix-ins (plant-based protein, collagen peptides, or vanilla whey protein)

Instructions

  1. Blend the frozen berries and milk until creamy.
  2. Add the cottage cheese (or vegan substitute) and blend again.
  3. Incorporate the vanilla, almond butter, and any optional mix-ins, blending until smooth.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
