Instant Pot Homemade BBQ Baked Beans

dried navy beans or pinto beans

bacon, cut into 1 inch cubes

bbq sauce

ketchup

brown sweetener or sugar

Instructions
- Add chicken broth and dried beans to the Instant Pot.
- Cook the beans on High-Pressure for 25 minutes and allow natural release for 25 minutes.
- Drain and rinse the beans.
- Set the Instant Pot to Saute and cook the bacon until browned, then remove it.
- Drain excess fat but leave a teaspoon in the pot.
- Saute onions and garlic until translucent.
- Add the beans back with BBQ sauce, ketchup, half the bacon, chili powder, brown sweetener, liquid smoke, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Turn off Saute and let the beans sit with the lid on for 10 minutes to thicken.
- Serve topped with remaining bacon.
