Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
- Boil a large pot of water and add the cabbage, boiling for 5 minutes until leaves are soft.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, 2 tablespoons of parsley, sea salt, and black pepper, mixing until just combined.
- Spread 1 cup of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Once cooled, cut the leaves from the cabbage core and remove the thick rib in a V shape.
- Divide the meat mixture into 12 portions and shape each into a log at one end of a cabbage leaf, then roll up.
- Place each roll seam side down in the baking dish over the sauce and spoon the remaining sauce over them.
- Cover the dish and bake for 60-75 minutes until the beef is cooked through, garnishing with the remaining parsley.
