Instructions
- Simmer cherries and maple syrup in a medium pot for 12-15 minutes until tender, then stir in flour and cook for another minute.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a food processor, mix crust ingredients except water, then slowly add water until the dough forms a ball.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into 24 rectangles.
- Place 12 rectangles on baking sheets, add filling, and cover with the remaining rectangles, pressing edges with a fork.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until lightly browned, then cool on a wire rack.
