Skinny Blood Orange Margaritas

The Margarita

silver/blanco tequila

fresh blood orange juice

light agave nectar or simple syrup

pure vanilla extract (optional)
For the Rim

teaspoons
kosher sea salt and/or Himalayan salt

brown sugar (optional)

Instructions
- Mix salt and brown sugar on a small plate.
- Run a lime wedge around the glass rim and dip it into the salt mixture.
- Add ice cubes to the glass and set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, blood orange juice, lime juice, and agave nectar.
- Add a drop of vanilla extract if desired.
- Shake well for 30 seconds and strain into the prepared glass.
- Garnish with a slice of blood orange if desired.
