Avocado Strawberry Caprese
Ingredients
The salad

hulled and sliced strawberries

loosely packed basil leaves, chiffonade cut

extra-virgin olive oil

toasted sesame seeds or chopped pecans
The balsamic reduction
Instructions
- Simmer balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat until it thickens and reduces by half.
- In a large shallow bowl, combine strawberries, tomatoes, avocado, and basil.
- Drizzle olive oil over the salad and gently toss to coat.
- Season with salt and pepper, then toss briefly again.
- Top with toasted seeds or nuts and drizzle with balsamic reduction.
- Serve immediately, best enjoyed fresh.
