Ingredients

The truffles

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • ¼ cup full fat coconut milk

The coating

  • 2 tablespoons toasted almonds, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate in a saucepan over very low heat.
  2. Stir in the agave nectar, chili powder, almond extract, and coconut milk.
  3. Refrigerate the mixture for 20-30 minutes until it thickens.
  4. Scoop the mixture into balls and place them on a parchment-lined plate.
  5. Combine the chopped almonds and cacao powder in a shallow bowl.
  6. Roll the truffle balls in the almond-cacao mixture before serving.
