Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • 12 pieces soft pitted Medjool dates (about ¾ cup, soak in warm water if hard)
  • 3 tbsp cacao powder (plus more for rolling)
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seed
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • heaping ⅛ tsp cayenne
  • tsp fine sea salt
  • 1-2 tbsp almond milk, as needed

Instructions

  1. Process oats and walnuts in a food processor until well combined.
  2. Add dates and process until well combined.
  3. Incorporate cacao, flax, cinnamon, cayenne, and salt, processing again until mixed.
  4. Add almond milk as needed to form a dough ball.
  5. Roll the mixture into about 14 bites and coat each in cacao powder.
  6. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
