Slow Cooker Chicken Marsala

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Brown the chicken in the pan for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden.
- Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker and add garlic, marsala wine, chicken broth, and mushrooms.
- Cook on LOW for 5 hours.
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and whisk together cornstarch with 1/3 cup cold water.
- Pour the cornstarch mixture into the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Return the chicken to the slow cooker, turn the heat to HIGH, and cook for 30 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Stir in heavy cream and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Serve garnished with parsley.
