Ingredients

  • 2 pieces skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup marsala cooking wine
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 2 tablespoons shallots, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts and place them in the slow cooker.
  2. Add garlic, shallots, chicken broth, marsala wine, and mushrooms to the cooker.
  3. Cook on low for 5-6 hours.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to thicken the sauce.
  5. Add the cornstarch mixture to the slow cooker and sprinkle parsley throughout.
  6. Adjust the heat to high and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  7. Serve the dish.
