Sparkling Margaritas

The margarita base

Triple Sec or Cointreau
The sparkling component

champagne
For serving

lime wedges

coarse salt or sugar

optional
additional sweetener (sugar, honey, agave, etc.)
Instructions
- Combine lime juice, tequila, and Triple Sec to create the margarita base.
- Prepare glasses by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping in salt or sugar.
- Pour about 1/3 cup of the margarita mixture into each champagne glass and top with champagne.
- If desired, add a teaspoon or two of sweetener to each glass and enjoy.
