Caprese-Style Melon and Bocconcini Skewers

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 1 unit cantaloupe or other melon of your choice
  • 1 200 g package mini bocconcinis
  • to taste unit fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Simmer balsamic vinegar and maple syrup in a saucepan over low heat until reduced by half, about 10 minutes, then let cool.
  2. Cut the melon into cubes.
  3. On mini-skewers, alternate threading a cube of melon, a bocconcini, and a basil leaf.
  4. Serve with the syrup or plain balsamic vinegar.
