Instructions
- Grease a medium bowl and set aside.
- Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and mix with milk, sugar, and oil.
- Combine baking powder and flour in a stand mixer, then add yeast mixture and mix to form a dough.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, then let it rise until nearly doubled in size.
- Cut dough into 12 pieces, shape into balls, and flatten into disks.
- Roll each disk into an oval, brush with oil, and fold to form half-moons on parchment squares.
- Let the buns rise until almost doubled in size.
- Steam the buns until puffed and dry-looking.
- Cool the buns slightly before serving.
