Instructions
- Mix the flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- Dissolve the yeast in warm water and add it to the flour mixture along with the milk, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and water.
- Mix until it forms a dough, adding more water if necessary.
- Knead the dough for 10-15 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise for about 2 hours until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and flatten it, then sprinkle with baking powder and knead for another 5 minutes.
- Roll the dough into a long shape and cut it into 3 cm pieces.
- Shape each piece into a ball, let rest for 2-3 minutes, then roll into an oval shape.
- Fold each oval over a chopstick and remove the chopstick to shape the bun.
- Place the buns on a lined baking tray, cover, and let rise for 1.5 hours.
- Steam the buns for about 8 minutes until puffed up.
- Fill the buns with pulled pork and your choice of vegetables.
