Vinegar

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons vinegar (such as white wine, white balsamic, rice, or apple cider)

Instructions

  1. Fill a shallow saucepan with water and bring it to a simmer.
  2. Add vinegar to the water and turn off the heat.
  3. Carefully lower the eggs into the water and cover the pot.
  4. Set a timer for 5 to 6 minutes depending on how well you like your eggs cooked.
  5. Uncover the pot and transfer the eggs to a towel-lined plate.
  6. Let the eggs rest for 30 to 60 seconds before serving.
