Ingredients

  • 1 egg egg
  • 4 tablespoons vinegar
  • 4 inches water

Instructions

  1. Fill a pot with water to a depth of about 4 inches and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add vinegar to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce the heat to keep the water at a low simmer.
  4. Create a whirlpool in the water by stirring it in a circular motion.
  5. Crack an egg into a bowl and gently tip it into the center of the whirlpool.
  6. Cook the egg for 2-4 minutes, depending on your desired doneness.
  7. Use a slotted spoon to lift the egg out of the water and drain it on a paper towel.
