Ingredients

  • ½ cup almond butter
  • ½ cup blanched almond flour
  • cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • cup extra dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together almond flour, cocoa powder, coconut sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together almond butter, almond milk, applesauce, honey, and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix well. Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Serve optionally with coconut milk vanilla ice cream.
