Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy almond butter
  • ½ cup cacao powder
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a large bowl, combine almond butter, cacao powder, coconut sugar, eggs, vanilla, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Stir until the batter is thick and uniform.
  4. Grease an 8-inch square dish and line it with parchment paper.
  5. Spread the brownie batter into the bottom of the pan, pressing it firmly.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and press them in if desired.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, erring on the side of under-baking for a fudgy middle.
  8. Let the brownies cool completely before slicing.
  9. Serve at room temperature or chilled from the fridge.
