Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond butter, cocoa powder, coconut sugar, maple syrup, egg, and vanilla, and let it stand for 5 minutes.
- Add baking soda and salt, then stir to combine.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and spread the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 17 minutes until the top is lightly dry.
- Let the brownies cool completely.
- For the frosting, melt chocolate, almond butter, and coconut oil in a saucepan, stirring until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in almond milk and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies and top with additional chocolate chips if desired.
- Refrigerate until the frosting sets, then slice and serve.
