Ingredients

Sesame Kale

  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Chili Garlic Tofu

  • 14 oz block firm tofu
  • 2 Tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar

Bowls

  • 4 cups cooked brown rice
  • 1 whole lime
  • ¼ bunch cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes by wrapping it in a towel and placing something heavy on top.
  2. Prepare the kale by removing stems, cutting leaves into strips, and rinsing them.
  3. Sauté minced garlic in oil, then add the kale and cook until wilted. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.
  4. Mix chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a bowl for the tofu sauce.
  5. Cut the pressed tofu into cubes and fry in a heated skillet with oil until golden brown on all sides.
  6. Pour the prepared sauce over the tofu and stir to coat.
  7. Assemble the bowls with cooked rice, sesame kale, and chili garlic tofu. Serve with lime wedges and cilantro.
