Ingredients

The tacos

  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked or regular paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ lbs cod
  • 1 cup finely sliced cabbage
  • 8 pieces corn tortillas

The salsa

  • 2 cups finely chopped strawberries
  • 1 small ripe but firm avocado
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • ½ piece jalapeno
  • ¼ tsp salt

The crema

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup green onions
  • ¼ cup cilantro leaves
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high or the oven to 425°F.
  2. Prepare the salsa by combining all salsa ingredients in a bowl and mixing well.
  3. Make the crema by mixing all crema ingredients in a bowl or blender, then refrigerate.
  4. Rub the fish with a mixture of chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook the fish on the grill for 4 minutes per side or bake in the oven for 9 minutes until flaky.
  6. Warm the tortillas and assemble the tacos by adding slaw, fish, salsa, and crema.
