Instructions
- Make the crust by mixing flour, salt, sugar, and turmeric, then adding butter and shortening, followed by vinegar and ice water until the dough holds together.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface, cut into circles, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- For the filling, sauté onions, garlic, and spices in oil for 2 minutes.
- Add ground beef and breadcrumbs, cook for 10 minutes, then add water and adjust seasoning.
- Cool the filling before assembling.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Fill each dough circle with a tablespoon of filling, seal the edges, and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for about 30 minutes and serve warm.
